The Ultimate Gravel/Adventure Challenge that will take you across the stunning North York Moors using public bridleway, forests and private tracks.
We are currently awaiting updates from the Government before making a decision about the 2021 Yorkshire True Grit. We're optimistic, but realistic!
Do you have True Grit?
Described as being “One of the toughest adventure rides in the UK” by Cycling Plus, this is no walk (or ride) in the park. Prepare to be tested to your limits and beyond.
Yorkshire True Grit is based on the popular US Gravel Grinder format – but with a Yorkshire twist.
Choose from three distances: The Outlaw (60 miles); The Drive (40 miles); or The Stampede (20 miles).
Dates:
Yorkshire True Grit will take place from Friday 18th - Sunday 20th June 2021. The Outlaw and The Drive will be on Saturday 19th June and The Stampede will take place on Sunday 20th – the perfect leg loosener after a big day, or a challenge on its own.
Location:
The 2021 Yorkshire True Grit HQ will be at a new location - but rest assured we'll be taking you on adventure ride that you'll love.
As usual for Yorkshire True Grit events, there won't be any showers on site. But there'll be plently of toilets, running water, and great food!
Cost: TBC - we're not opening entries until we know the event can take place.
Entry fee includes:
- Way marked route & GPX file
- Map of the route
- Feed station on all routes + additional water stops
- Finisher’s Award
- Mechanical support at the start and at the Feed Station
- Access to land that you are normally unable to ride!
Facilities on Site
You can camp on Friday and Saturday night, and your family can come along too – though there are limited opportunities for spectating at the event, however there is lots to see and do in the area.
Camping is £5/person/night paid in advance, or £6/person/night if you pay on arrival. Children 12 & under camp for free. Tents and vans are welcome.
There’ll be catering vans on site from Friday lunchtime and there’ll be a bar, plus there’ll be a bands on Saturday afternoon/evening.
There are no showers provided at the Event HQ campsite.
Dogs are allowed on site - they must not be left alone or in your car/vehicle whilst you ride. Whilst in the Camping Field/Event HQ area they must be on a lead and of course you must pick up after your dog. Please don't bring your dog into the registration marquee (mainly because Debs' dog is likely to be in there and isn't too keen on other dogs, Cheers!)
